Suzhou graden has a long history with private garden constructed in the 6th century AD, since the end of the Qing dynasty, there had been 170 places inside and outside the city for that it earned Suzhou a name as “the city of gardens”. There are more than ten famous gardens preserved nowadays, world famous ones are Canglang Pavilion, Lion Forest, Zuzheng Park, Liu park, Wangshi Park, Yi Park to name a little. Suzhou Garden takes up small areas with changeable and eclectic artistic ways to adorn rockery and woods, set up pavilions, ponds and bridges to make itself famous for its varied scenes. Zuzheng Garden was famous as “the essence of south of the Yangtze River ”. Though Suzhou Garden is small , yet ancient garden artists through varied artistic means to create resplendent scenes: water flowing through bridges, scarlet walls and green tiles, small path towards quiet places, walk on the scenes are different and varied. As for those varied and exquisite flower windows and those stone roads for you to enjoy. Suzhou is the famous historical city and national important scenic travel city. Suzhou ancient gardens has a history of more than 2000 years, whose unique historical status and values in the world’s gardening architecture, which is the architectural treasure of the Chinese nation. As famous as Suzhou Garden , Huqiu, Tianping Mountain, Stone lake are the tourism destinations which attract many tourists at home and abroad. In December, 1997, Suzhou ancient garden was listed into world heritage directory.
