Chinese Sanqing mountain Sanqing mountain Sanqing mountain is located in Shangrao city, northeast of Jiangxi province, its highest peak Yujing which is 1816.9 meters above the sea level. Through 1.4 billion years’ geological movement, unique queer peaks and strange stones, fast valleys and flying falls, gorges and serene clouds are formed in Sanqing mountain. The total area is 229 square kilometers, there are thousands peaks, valleys, ancient trees and rare precious animals. Sanqing mountain is famous for its natural mountain scenery, characterized by Taoism humanity scenery. There are Xihua Flat, Sanqing palace , Yujing Peak, San Dong Kou, Ti Yun Ling, Yun Ling temple. Stone Drum Ridge seven scenic areas. There have been 48 queer peaks, 52 strange stones,400 scenic areas, 1088 botanies. The queer peaks, falls ,sea of cloud, precious animals and botanies, the fourth century glacier relics , all of which are noted as “the sibling mountain of Huangshan”. The vegetation here is obvious of vertical distribution, including rare and precious Huangshan pine, Huadong yellow fir, Huadong hemlock. Sanqing mountain is a famous Taoist mountain with a history of more than 1600 years, famous as “the fist fairy mountain in Jiangnan”, a place where Taoists practiced. After Geyun Gehong of Ji dynasty came to the mountain , this place has been a destination where pilgrims seek to visit. There are Sanqing Taoist temple which is preserved well and 220 ancient stone carvings, which is called as” the open Taoist museum ”.
