Red Maple Lake scenic area is located in Qing county of Pingba town, central part of Duizhou province, 33 kilometers west of Guiyang, 77 kilometers away from Anshun, with the area of 57 kilometers. The deepest part reaches hundred meters, the largest artificial lake in Guizhou province.

Red Maple Lake is comprised by north lake, south lake, back lake and villages near the bank.
