Route Feature:
Qinghai-Tibetan plateau is known as the “World Roof", the “Third
Pole of the Globe”, it is the original place of many big rivers in China.
Qinghai-Tibetan railway is about 1,142Km long, 960Km of which runs on
the highland of more than 4,000m and 550km of it passes across the all
year round frozen earth. Qinghai-Tibetan railway has 34 stops which are
located at Nachitai, Tuotuo River, Mt. Tanggula pass, Amdo, Nagchu, Damsung,
Yangparchen and Lhasa etc.
The tour itinerary:
Day 1: Chengdu-Lhasa
Meet in the evening at the North Train Station of Chengdu, take T222 train
and leave(aroun 20:36pm) for Lhasa.Overnight on the train.

Day 2: On the Train
Appreciate the scenery of Sichuan Basin and the Yellow Earth plateau along
the railway.

Day 3: Arriving in Lhasa
The train drives on Qinghai-Tibet plateau, you can see the rare species
of plants and animals of Kekexili in this area, if you are lucky enough
Tibetan antelopes can be seen running along the railway. You will drive
across the pass of Mt.Tnaggula which is about 5,072m, the highest place
of Qinghai-Tibet railway, after that you are going to drive on the highland
grassland which is a large area of pasture. Natso lake lies between Amdo
and Nagchu is the next attraction and eye feast with its crystal clear
blue water. Arrive in Lhasa at the evening and go to the hotel.

Day 4: Lhasa Full Day City Tour
Visit the main tourist attractions in Lhasa:Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple
and Barkhor Street etc.

Day5 Lhasa - Yangpachen - Namtso Lake
In the morning, drive to Yangpachen - the hot spring, see the Northern
Tibet Grassland, and the Yangpachen geothermal power plant, after lunch
drive to Nyainqentanglha, take photos and back Yangpachen, enjoy the hot
spring (about RMB30-50, cost excluded, the swimming suit is expensive
here), then go and visit Namtso Lake,one of the three holy lakes in Tibet,back
to Lhasa in the evening

Day 6:Back to Chengdu
Depart from Lhasa to Chengdu by flight, the end.
