They are cheaper than a private tour, they are also a convenient way of viewing Sichuan if you are on a tight schedule, and you will still get to see the best places in each area. Also you can make Chinese friends, practise your Chinese language and understand more about both Chinese people and culture.

The tour itinerary:

Day 1:Chengdu - Mianyang - Pingwu - Jiuzhaigou
Drive for Jiuzhaigou early in the morning, pass by Mianyang and Pingwu .The whole way is around 300 km and takes about 8 hours.The lunch and some rest are arranged on the way.Overnight next to gate of Jiuzhaigou.

Day 2:Full Day self tour in Jiuzhaigou (lunch excluded)
After breakfast, transfer to Jiuzhaigou and then do selftour for the whole day. There's a service centre offering buffet lunch.You can also take some food with you for the lunch.Get together at the Park gate about 06:00pm, then go back to the hotel.Overnight next to gate of Jiuzhaigou.

Day 3:Jiuzhaigou - Huanglong(or Munigou) - Maoxian
After breakfast, transfer to HunagLong park,visit Tibetan & Qiang minority custom exhibition on the way.The average altitude of Huanglong is 3200M,so do not push youself in order to avoid the altitude sickness,(round-way cable car ticket is RMB120/person,at your own expense).You can visit Songzhou Ancient Town(RMB30/person at your own expense) on the way to Maoxian.Overnight in Maoxian.

Day 4:Maoxian County - Chengdu
After breakfast leave for Chengdu,then reach Chengdu at about 2:00pm to 3:00 pm,the end .
